This Friday's Staff Feature Friday puts the spotlight on our 6-12 Family Consumer Science and Health Teacher, Mrs. Karin Mairet.

Mrs. Mairet's family consists of her husband, Shane, who also serves as a Substitute Teacher for the Wapello Community School District and their son Maverick.

Mrs. Mairet holds an Undergraduate Degree from Iowa State University and also a Health Endorsement from the University of Northern Iowa.  Mrs. Mairet has a total of 7 years of teaching experience, and six of those seven years have been at the Wapello Community School District.

In her spare time, you will find Mrs. Mairet spending time with Shane and Maverick outside or discovering a new county or state park.  She also enjoys getting together with all of her siblings and their kids; she notes that " I love my big family!"

When we asked Mrs. Mairet what she liked best about working at the Wapello Community School District, she had this to say, "I like most and appreciate the support from the Administration when I want to try a project or something new with the students."

Congratulations to Mrs. Mairet on being selected for today's Staff Feature Friday, check back next Friday to see who we spotlight for the next installment of our Staff Feature Friday!
