Staff Feature - Kortney Wagner

It is Friday, so that means it is time for another Staff Feature Friday Spotlight!  Today we recognize one of our Elementary Title I Reading Teachers, Mrs. Kortney Wagner.

Mrs. Wagner has been in the education field for sixteen years.  All sixteen years have been spent working at Wapello Elementary.

Mrs. Wagner graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a major in Elementary Education, along with her reading endorsement.  Mrs. Wagner also holds a Masters Degree from Western Illinois University.

Her family includes her husband Mark, along with her daughters Mya and Taeya, who are both students at Wapello Elementary.

In her spare time, you will find Mrs. Wagner spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoys playing volleyball for fun and watching her girls play sports.  Also, when she finds the time, she enjoys going out to eat and shopping rank high on her list of things she likes to do!

Our last question for Mrs. Wagner was, what do you like best about working at the Wapello Community School District?  Her response was, "Wapello Elementary is a great place to work. I enjoy the people I work with and like having the opportunity to instill a love of learning into a child's life or making him/her feel valued. Our students at Wapello Elementary have great Tribe Pride and demonstrate those traits by working hard every day! ."

Congratulations to Mrs. Wagner for being selected for our Staff Feature Friday!  Check back next Friday for another staff member to be featured!
