It is Friday, so that means it is time for another Staff Feature Friday Spotlight! Today we recognize one of our Elementary Special Education ParaEducators, Mrs. Brandi Smith.
Mrs. Smith has been in the education field for fourteen years. All fourteen years have been spent working as a ParaEducator for the Wapello Community School District.
Mrs. Smith graduated from the clerical program at SCC, and she also has obtained her Para Educator Certificate and Sub Authorization Certificate through the Iowa Department of Education.
Her family includes her husband Eric, along with her children Brianna and Samantha, who are both graduates of Wapello High School.
In her spare time, you will find Mrs. Smith camping with friends and family. She also enjoys watching baseball, preferably the St. Louis Cardinals!
Our last question for Mrs. Smith was, "What do you like about working at the Wapello Community School District?" Her response was, "I enjoy working with the students and seeing the growth that they make throughout the year. I also enjoy the close bond that our staff has."
