This Friday's Staff Feature Friday puts the spotlight on our HR Director for the district, Kenna Greiner.  Kenna also serves as the Assistant Volleyball Coach for the Wapello Arrows.

Kenna's family consists of her husband, Cody, her daughter Annaka (5th Grade at Wapello Elementary), and her son Jaxton (1st Grade at Wapello Elementary).  They also enjoy the company of their Yorkie-Poo, Shelby.

Kenna attended college at Southeastern Community College and then Simpson College, where she played golf at both schools.  She graduated with her Bachelor's degree and then started a career in the insurance industry as a Property and Casualty agent for an Independent Insurance Agency in Winfield for ten years.  She has been in her current role as HR Director for the district for the past four years.  She is also shared with the Morning Sun Community School District as their HR Director as well.

In her spare time, you can find Kenna spending time with her family and being outdoors.  She notes that she lives in a great neighborhood, so a lot of time is spent hanging out with friends in the neighborhood, enjoying walks, bike rides, and good laughs with everyone.

When we asked Kenna what she liked best about working at the Wapello Community School District, she had this to say, "I like how there are opportunities to get involved with the school district by helping on different duties within the school. I love to see that when our community needs help,  our school district is always thinking of a way to reach out. I like that there is always a type of change going on throughout the district for good reasons to make the district better for our students and staff. I am very proud to get to be a part of the Wapello Community School District."

Congratulations to Kenna on being selected for today's Staff Feature Friday, check back next Friday to see who we spotlight for the next installment of our Staff Feature Friday!
