Elyh Foster was our 1st grade “Star of the Week!” He was able to share his dog with both 1st grade classes. Everyone loved being together for sharing. Elyh also read his favorite story, “The Story of Elf Mates.”

Hayden King was our 1st grade “Star of the Week!” She shared a special necklace a friend made her. It was pretty neat! We also enjoyed Hayden’s favorite book, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”

At last night's School Board Meeting, we welcomed two new and one returning board member. Sarah Bockes and Kerri Horton are new to the board, serving four-year terms, along with Dave Moore, returning for his second four-year term.
The district thanked Doug Housman for his eight years of service and Matt Smith for his four years of service on the board. Doug and Matt were presented with plaques to honor their service, along with lifetime activity passes, as a token of appreciation for serving the staff, students, and families of the Wapello Community School District.
