Three sixth-grade students and one seventh-grade student from Wapello Junior High traveled to Ames last weekend to participate as a team in the Iowa State Science Bowl held at Iowa State University. It was the school's first time sending a team, and they were the only small school represented in the competition. Questions were taken from the fields of earth science, biology, physics, chemistry, energy, algebra, and geometry. The students finished 19th out of 26 teams. They enjoyed the experience and know that next year, they will have a better idea of what to expect. Congratulations to Audrey Ball (6th), Eliana Hoag (6th), Bliven Buffington (7th), and Kohwyn Knight (6th) for representing Wapello well in this new-to-us competition! We are proud of you!
