Parents of Wapello 2nd - 5th Graders -
It is time to think ahead to fall and Tackle Football! YSF (Youth Sports Foundation) will again partner with Wapello Youth Football to bring a tackle football program to Wapello.
Registration will be held on Friday, April 14th, from 5-6:30 PM. The parent (Guardian) and the player(s) must attend registration. Players will be fitted for equipment at this time. Online registration is available at www.youthsportsfoundation.org. If you choose to register online, you must still attend the registration night for equipment fitting.

All Wapello High School Students in CTE Classes and all Juniors will be traveling to SCC for their annual SCC Day on Friday, April 14. The kids will be gone for most of the day. Lunch will be provided.

Gardeners! Mark your calendars! The Wapello FFA Greenhouse has announced their opening dates and times! The greenhouse will open on April 27 and 28th from 2:30 - 6:00 p.m. and again on April 29 from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The FFA Chapter has been working hard to get ready to open the greenhouse doors for this annual sale! Cash, Check and Credit Cards are accepted.

Wapello girls golf team lost to New London in a dual at Heritage Oaks today 174-246. Wapello was led by Liv Fuller with a 51
Wapello boys defeated New London in a dual at Heritage Oaks. Team scores were tied at 180 and was won on 5th golfers score. Wapello was led by meet medalist Cooper Garrison and Zach Harbison with a 39 and 43.
Senior night tonight at the Indian Relays is for the boys track team. Girls will be celebrated during the Arrow Relays later this month.
The Wapello CSD Board of Directors will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. (note the later start time). Ollie Stephens was our 1st grade “Star of the Week!” He shared his dog, "Rebel." He showed us a trick by flipping his dog's ears back. We got a good laugh and Rebel sure looked funny! He also did a great job reading his favorite book, "Thomas the Train."
Brittney Runnells was our 1st grade “Star of the Week!” She shared her beta fish, "Sparkles." We learned her fish only needs a little bit of food everyday to survive! We also loved hearing her read her favorite book, Pete the Cat Snow Daze!"

Braylynne Brown was our 1st grade “Star of the Week!” She shared a special bunny that is her favorite stuffed animal! She also shared a gigantic starfish that her parents brought back from Mexico for her to keep! It was so cool to see and think about how there was a starfish living inside of there at one time! She did a great job reading her book, "Sid," to all of us too!
Liam Bailey was our 1st grade “Star of the Week!” He shared one of his rocks from his geode collection, it was so sparkly! We also met his dog, Willow! She was excited to see all of us and even let us pet her! We loved hearing him read his book titled, "My Book With No Pictures!" He did an awesome job and had us laughing the whole time!
SENIOR NIGHT - Boys track will celebrate senior night tonight at the Indian Relays. Please see the attached order of events. Field events begin at 4:30 and running begins at 5:00.

There will not be a concession stand tonight at WACO for the boys soccer game. They could not find workers for the stand.
