Due to hosting the Girls State Wrestling Qualifying meet on January 30th, we are making a change to the calendar. ***Wednesday, January 28th, will now be a full student day. Friday, January 30th will be the early dismissal day for that week.*** Thanks! Mike

The Indians & Arrows basketball teams are at home tonight taking on the LM falcons. The games will be varsity only, girls starting at 6pm and varsity boys will follow! Let's go, Wapello!

The Arrows wrestling team is on the road tonight. They will travel to Lisbon to take on Lisbon & West Branch. They will start at 6pm! Good luck, ladies!

Basketball fans... tomorrow's (January 13) JV game versus LM has been canceled. Varsity girls will start at 6:00 PM and the boys varsity will follow.

Wrestling fans... for some reason, the website is showing that the boys and girls will wrestle at Lisbon on Tuesday, January 13. This is not correct. ONLY the girls will wrestle at Lisbon on Tuesday. Wrestling starts at 6:00 PM.

In Kindergarten today we read The Mitten by Jan Brett, then we took turns role playing the story. We crawled into our "mitten" and pretended to be the animals. We were tossed out and tumbled because of Bear's big sneeze! Aaaa Aaaa Aaaa Choooo! 🐁🐻🦊🦡🦉🦔🐇

Please join us on Friday, January 16 for our alumni/community pep band night! We had so much fun last year with our alumni that we wanted to open the opportunity to everyone. Dust off that case, break out the cork grease and join us for a fun night of music!

Our Indian wrestlers are on the road tonight. They will head to Lone Tree for a make-up meet. They will take on the Warriors from Waco and the Lone Tree Lions. The meet will start at 5:00pm.

Friday morning the PTO will have gum sales. $1 gets you two pieces of gum for the day. Support your Wapello Elementary PTO!
