More pictures from Art Workshop at SCC today

7 WHS students spent the day at SCC today participating in a variety of workshop options, including clay art, cardboard sculptures, acrylic painting, comics, pastels, abstract watercolor pen and ink paintings, and watercolor landscapes. They spent the morning in one hands-on learning session, had lunch at the SCC Cafeteria, and spent the afternoon in a second session. Students enjoyed the opportunity to try out some art mediums they hadn't tried before, and said the day was a lot of fun! Wapello has some very artistically talented students, and they are all excited that a new art teacher has already been hired for next school year. You can see photos from their day in the post below.

Our 8th graders had an amazing experience at the Junior High Writing Conference at the University of Iowa! They dived into workshops, learned from incredible speakers, and unleashed their creativity by writing their own stories. Lunch in the dining hall was also a huge hit.
