Mr. Mace will join the Wapello High School Teaching Staff and will be teaching High School Social Studies when students return to the classroom on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. Mr. Mace is a recent graduate of the University of Iowa and Wapello High School will be his first teaching job! Mr. Mace's family includes his parents and two younger sisters. New Staff Spotlight! We would like to welcome to the Wapello Community School District Staff, Mr. Mike Simpson. Mr. Simpson will be teaching HS English starting this fall. Mr. Simpson's family includes his wife Terra, and their two children Izzy (15) and Maya (13). Mr. Simpson has been in education for the past 12 years, he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing and Psychology from Purdue University. In his spare time, Mr. Simpson likes to spend time with his family and their dog, he also enjoys woodworking and doing projects around their home. We know that parents are ready to begin the Registration Process for the 21-22 school year. Unfortunately, Power School is undergoing maintenance today and Friday. We plan to open up the online registration for students on Monday, August 9, at 9:00 a.m. At that time E-Registration will be active inside of your Power School parent account. On Tuesday, August 10, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. there will be staff available to help anyone that needs a device or assistance in registering your student for school using the E-Registration process. Staff will be available at both the Wapello Elementary and Wapello Jr/Sr High Offices. We are excited to start the 21-22 school year, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate the final details to launch the online registration process on Monday, August 9, at 9:00 a.m. #WeAreWapello #WapelloTribePride
