Today we proudly recognize and thank our very own Deputy Kody Aplara for all he does for our school community. Deputy Aplara truly goes above and beyond the role of a School Resource Officer. He works every day to build meaningful, positive relationships with our students—making our school a safer, more supportive place for everyone.
In addition to serving as our SRO, Deputy Aplara generously gives his time as a Junior High Football Coach and Girls Wrestling Coach, mentoring students both in the classroom and on the field. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to our kids do not go unnoticed.

Wapello Community School District is asking the students & staff to wear blue on Tuesday February 17, 2026 in the memory of Kyler Rugg of Waco CSD, who tragically lost his life.
