Each week the coaches of the sports in season nominate a player they feel is most deserving of “Player of the Week”. To catch up ok the first two weeks of the young seasons, each coach nominated two players. For Boys Basketball we have Rhett Smith and Caden Thomas. Girls Basketball is Eryka Dickey and Holly Massner. And for Wrestling this week’s nominations are Chase Witte and Owen Housman. #wearewapello #playeroftheweek
Leigha is getting fueled up at the team dinner tonight. The team will be ready to go at 4:30 PM for JV and 6:00 PM for Varsity, tomorrow (Friday) at Lone Tree. See you all there.

Mrs. Brockway’s Tribe. We learned that Caring and Sharing are a very important part of the holiday season. They decorated ceramic plates that were then filled with cookies, that they made at home, for the food pantry at school💙💛🎄

Mrs. Marshall’s Tribe has been performing Random Acts of Holiday Kindness. They have placed inspiring quotes on lockers, made and delivered goodies to the staff workroom, placed candy canes in the parking lot and assisted Ms. B’s Puppy Groom Room with collecting items for animal shelters.
Mrs. Gerot’s tribe has worked for weeks on warm cozy items for donation to those in need. Hats, ear wraps, a scarf and a blanket. Here’s to the season of giving.

Wapello elementary and HS food banks will be open regular hours today. We have lots of toiletries and household goods. We also have some bread left.
We will also be open Monday, December 23. HS at regular hours. 3:30-5:30.
Elementary Hours on the 23rd will be 4:00-5:30. We will have new shipment of food that day with turkeys, beef roast and bottled water among other items. This will be only open time over break.
