Rylie Theobald is our 1st grade, “Star of the Week!” She did a great job reading, “I’m Ready To Read With Sky!” Rylie shared her grandparents miniature donkey, Elsa. 1st graders loved feeling her soft fur!

The Wapello Community School District Board of Directors has decided to pause any further exploration regarding 4-day school weeks for the 2025-26 school year. This will provide an opportunity to learn from other districts who have made the change. All scheduled forums are cancelled. The board would like to thank everyone who attended our public forums to express their thoughts. In addition, the board would like to thank everyone who took the time to provide feedback during this process.

Cross Country Fans -
All spectators should enter Iowa City Kickers Park using Soccer Park Road from the North, and park in the north lot. Each car will be charged $5 CASH. Please bring exact change ($5 bill). There are NO PETS allowed at IGHSAU/IHSAA events.

Arrows Volleyball beats Notre Dame in 4 sets. Next up Holy Trinity. We'll post the ticket link when it becomes available.

Jacob Meeker is our 1st grade, “Star of the Week!” He shared his Hermit Crabs, Sponge Bob, Big Timmy, and Spot! 1st grade loved holding them and were very careful to not get pinched! Jacob did a great job reading his favorite book, “Brown Bear, Brown Bear!"






London Dopler is our 1st grade, “Star of the Week!” She shared her dog, Millie! London showed us how Millie and her shake hands! The 1st graders loved petting her curly fur! London did a great job reading her favorite book, “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish."

Mrs. Wykert's kindergarten class has been learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin this month. We felt the flesh, seeds, and guts of the big pumpkin Ella's dad brought for us. It was slimy! We made pumpkin cookies and cooked the seeds for a delicious snack. In Art, we made a tear jack-o-lantern to strengthen our fine motor skills and went on a leaf hunt to make a leaf rubbing.
