A friend on FB shared about her experience with hometown days. Look at the amazing job these kids did and here is part of the post that was made about them. “So this morning a large group of kids and teachers came from the school to help lay paper, spread mulch and clip grapevine from my fences. They did what would have been an entire summer of work for us, in an HOUR! We couldn’t be more thankful, they truly saved us a lot of time and stress!
They always say #WeAreWapello and sure enough today they proved it!”

Students from Wapello Jr/Sr High have been busy today participating in the annual “My Hometown Day”. Students are using today to give back to their communities by way of helping others. Pictured are a few of our crews helping out residents in town.

WCSD My Hometown Day 2019! The citizens and businesses of Wapello support the school district throughout the entire year. Today the students of the district give back! There were lots of great projects going on around town today including yard work, painting, trash pickup, mulching, planting flowers, and much more! Great job to the many students and teachers that worked very hard today!

From the Post Prom Committee: All Juniors, Seniors and their prom dates along with ushers and waiters are invited to attend this year’s Post Prom Party at the High School. Students must be checked in by 12:45 am. This year we will not be calling/texting parents letting you know your student has checked in or left early. If you would like to receive a call or text, please contact Rae at the High School or one of the committee members with your preferred contact information by Thursday, April 25th.

Wapello Junior/Senior High is participating in Pennies for Patients through The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students are encouraged to bring in their loose change to donate as there is a contest between the Tribe's in the building. All donations go to research for blood cancer's.
