The Indians Soccer Team will be at home this evening at the Carl "Mac" McGill Athletic Complex to take on the Huskies from Highland High School. Game time is set for 5:00 on what should be a beautiful night for soccer!

The Indians Track and Field Team will be running at the WACO Boys Invitational tonight at WACO High School in Wayland. Come out tonight to watch the Indians as they continue to contend for team titles in each meet that they run in.

Congratulations Kabe Boysen! Kabe has been selected as one of two nominees for a spot on the Iowa FFA Officer Team! Kabe was nominated for SE District Vice-President. The final session is starting soon and the new officers will be announced at the end of the session.

The Wapello fine arts department had a outstanding weekend at the SEISC art show judging held at SCC on Saturday. Several students artworks placed in the competition. Congratulations to Lily Shafer for an honorable mention in painting and an honorable mention in mixed media. Lukas Boysen with an honorable mention in ceramics also a second place in sculpture. Corey Meeker with honorable mention in crafts, Toni Bohlen is with honorable mention in judges category, Emma Wehage with a first place in crafts and a third place in judges category. Other students artwork on display are, Dani Massey, Ellee Gillette, Tabitha Belzer, Denalyn Lanz, and Hunter Maish. The art show may be viewed at the SCC library and art gallery in Burlington Monday through Thursday 9 to 5.


The Indians and Arrows Golf teams will host the Highland Huskies today in a golf matchup at Heritage Oaks Country Club. The golfers will tee off at 4:00 this afternoon! Good Luck Indians and Arrows!

Staff Feature Friday - Danielle Wolfe, Vocational Agriculture
Today's Staff Feature Friday shines the spotlight on our 6-12 Vocational Agriculture Teacher, Mrs. Danielle Wolfe!
Mrs. Wolfe is in her third year of teaching Vocational Agriculture at Wapello High School. She came to Wapello after teaching in her field for two years prior to joining the Wapello Community School District Staff.
Mrs. Wolfe holds an Undergraduate Degree in Agricultural Education from Iowa State University and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree from Iowa State.
Her family includes her husband Rusty, and their two dogs, Luke and Annie. In her spare time, you can find Mrs. Wolfe spending time working outside around her home and enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her dogs.
When we asked Mrs. Wolfe what she likes best about working at the Wapello Community School District, she responded with "Relationships that we are able to make with our students!"
