Pre-School Roundup is right around the corner! Wapello Elementary will host their annual Pre-School Roundup on Friday, April 12. If you have or know of a student eligible to attend Pre-School in the fall and need to schedule a time, please call 319-523-5571 to be put on the schedule. There will be no school for current Pre-School and Pre-K Students on April 12.

Wapello Elementary PBIS will host Muffins With Mom tomorrow morning. Serving starts at 7:30 a.m. in the Elementary Gym. All Elementary Students are invited to bring their mother, grandmother, or other special woman in their lives to have breakfast together.

Congrats to the Wapello Indians on winning the Wapello Co-Ed Meet on Tuesday night, also to the Arrows on a strong 4th place finish at the meet. A 29 year old discus record of Tim McKee's fell last night when TJ Dirth threw 158'7"! Congratulations athletes and coaches!

8th Grade Students are taking part in a College Visit today at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. Students are being given a tour and are learning about the different degree programs that are available to them. It is never to early to begin thinking about their future!

Speech and Drama Coach, Jane Bostian reported that all three gave fabulous performances! Congratulations Again on this high honor!

Mrs. Smith’s(Hazelwood) 5th Grade Class experimented mixing substances together to try to make new substances in Science. Students also got to make goo at the end of the experiment. They really enjoyed it!
This is a portion of the presentation that Dr. Joe Sanfelippo gave to WHS students on Friday, March 22, 2019. In this portion he is telling the students that we don't need to reinvent the "awe" in education today, it is already happening, we just need to make sure we are telling our story and getting the "awe" back out in the public view.
