Bragging time: The state recently released school designations based on the new federal education legislation (ESSA). There are 3 levels. "Universal" means "things are going well. "Targeted" means there are one or two areas that are a concern. "Comprehensive" means there are several areas of concern. Wapello Elementary, Middle School, High School all were designated as "Universal." Kudos to the students and staff for all of the great work you are doing. Great things are happening and great things will continue to happen!

Students who are Exploring EMS during Tribe Time, today we covered wound care on a victim who is blind and was walking across the street with the aid of his walking stick. Unfortunately, he was struck by a car. He lost the lower portion of his right leg and a tourniquet was applied following a pressure dressing and elevation. His left leg suffered a laceration but was not bleeding so it was covered and elevated, he also has a cut on his forehead that was wrapped with a pressure dressing.
