Congratulations to the Claire Hoeg, Blake Maine, Lydia Fisher, Matthew Peterson, Chalee Ramos, and Tess Loyd. Their. Division I rating at the District Speech contest earned them a bid to the State Speech contest on March 9th. Congratulations as well to Drew Ehrman on his Division II placing.

Wapello Youth Soccer will be accepting Sign Up forms at Parent/Teacher Conferences tonight from 5-8. If you want to sign up your student for youth soccer, there will be someone outside the office at the Elementary and forms can be given to Mrs. Brown at the JH/HS.

Collins Aerospace issued a challenge to students to make a difference in someone's life. The challenge was accepted by this group of 8th grade girls, they developed a new prosthetic hand that could someday be used. Way to go girls!

March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’ birthday—Did you know Dr. Seuss would be 115 this year? While he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the pages of his books. He forever changed the way children’s books were written and continues to inspire generations. So next Wapello Elementary will honor him with dress up days, activities, and reading our favorite Dr. Seuss books.
Monday- “Hats off to Dr. Seuss”

(wear a shirt others can read)
Wednesday- “Wacky Wednesday”
