We would like to make a correction to an earlier post, we regret that we did not have Jan's number of years correct, she served as a Food Service Worker for the district for 29 years, not 24 that was previously reported, please accept our apologies for the error.

Indian Wrestling will hit the mats Saturday Jan. 5th when they travel to BGM for a Varsity tournament beginning at 10:00 am. Good luck to all the wrestlers! #wearewapello
Indian and Arrows basketball will be back in action tonight as they travel to Pekin for a quad. Games begin at 4:30 with both JV’s kicking off the night. The Varsity Girls will follow at 6:00, and the Varsity Boys will close out the night.
Wapello JR/SR High would like to welcome Michelle Hemphill to the staff as a Para Educator. Michelle began her duties on January 3, and will be working in the Special Ed Department as a Para Educator, she will also continue to drive bus as a substitute bus driver when needed as well. Congratulations Michelle, and welcome to the Wapello Community School District as a new full time employee!

Tonight’s Varsity Wrestling meet will be AT MUSCATINE. This is a change from the original schedule. It is a conference dual for Muscatine and Burlington. The meet is at Muscatine HS beginning at 6:00 PM

Wapello, Mediapolis and Great River Health Systems are joining forces for Friday Dec. 21st basketball games. Bring in your gently used medical equipment to the game to donate each school will get the equipment from their fans to be used at the school. For more info check out our website!

Wapello has a full night of basketball again tonight! JV Girls kick off the night at 4:30 in the main gym, then the Varsity Girls and JV Boys (practice) take the floor at 6:00. The night closes out with the Varsity Boys on the main floor! Come enjoy a rousing night of basketball, buy a chance to win a dessert and bring your gently used medical equipment.
The Post Prom Committee will again be hosting a dessert silent auction during the basketball games Friday night beginning at 5:30. Come check out the goodies for your holiday gatherings!!
Elementary parents, you are welcome to come watch our mini sing-along in the Elementary gym.
Starts at 8:30, will end around 9:00.
