Attention all high school Spanish students: There will be an information meeting Wednesday, August 7th at 6:30pm in the auditorium for all students who plan taking Spanish this upcoming school year.
The summer is winding down quickly, and our students will be back at it this week, preparing for the fall sports and activities season. Here is what is going on this week at Wapello!

The hardest thing to track down each year is a current sports physical. We will be offering an opportunity at the school for your yearly sports physical.
August 5th from 12-3 PM, you can get your yearly sports physical done at the school.
$20 per athlete.
Please email Brandon.brown@wapellocsd.org if you plan on taking advantage of this opportunity. We are not setting appointments at this time, walk-ins are available. We just want to see the total number of those interested.
Family Week...
Starting July 28 - August 4, there is a no contact period throughout the state. Our facilities are closed to all students.
Lifting is also closed for that week. We will resume workouts on August 5.

Baseline Concussion testing for athletes will be held on August 5 from 10AM - Noon in the main gym. This is for all 9-12 athletes. This testing is required, if you can not make the August 5 date, you may schedule a makeup with Mr. Brown (after August 5).

2024-2025 School Registration Options
For new families to the district or those needing help with registration, we will host an in-person registration event on Monday, August 5, 2024. This will take place in the WHS Practice Gym from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
For preschool students: Please bring your child's birth certificate and vaccination record. For new students to Wapello: Bring documents that verify proof of residency, proof of age, and the student's legal name. Examples include a birth certificate and a utility bill.

Reminder Summer meal pick up is today. This is the last pick-up day.
Pick-up times will be from 11 am to 1 pm.
Pick-up will be at the elementary school gym. Those picking up will come through the back gate by the staff parking. Please note that we have extended the time for pickups. If you are unable to pick up your meals on Tuesdays, please call 319-523-5571.
