Today, 9/11, Ms. Bostian's English 11 classes went outside and walked 1,463 steps (or more). They are reading the book, Thunder Dog: The True Story of A Blind Man, His Guide Dog, and the Triumph of Trust by Michael Hingson as told to Susy Flory. In this novel, Michael and his guide dog, Roselle, are on the 78th floor of the North Tower when it is crashed into by the first plane. Not knowing what it was, Michael and Roselle helped save many people by leading them down the stairs and out of the building to safety before it collapsed. It's an excellent true story read.
So in honor of those who lost their lives in 9/11 and those who survived, English 11 walked for you today. #ForTheW @coachj4ia

The Wapello Community School District Board of Directors will meet for their regular monthly meeting at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11. The meeting will begin at 5:00 pm with a district facility tour, followed by the regular meeting at approximately 6:00 pm.
