The Heisman Trophy Trust has the honor of announcing the 2023 School Winners for the Heisman High School Scholarship.
Thousands of high school senior scholar-athletes graduating with the class of 2024 from 4,129 different schools across the country applied for the scholarship earlier this fall. From this talented group of accomplished, community-minded young men and women, more than 4,878 have earned the honor of becoming School Winners in the Heisman High School Scholarship competition awarded by The Heisman Trophy Trust.

Everyone is invited to come and meet the participants of this year's Wapello Wax Museum. Students in Wapello's TAG Program have worked hard researching and learning about their character and will be presenting their information in first person during Conferences on both nights: 1:30 to 3:30 and 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, and 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. so come on out and learn something new about people who changed the world!

Kerri and Sarah will begin their four-year terms at the December board meeting, and Dave will begin his second four-year term in December as well.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Doug Housman for serving two terms and Matt Smith for serving one term. Both of these gentlemen have given up hundreds of hours to help make our district the best that it can be.

There was a minor fender bender involving a Wapello bus and a car outside of Morning Sun. No injuries. Police are on the scene and folks are working to get everyone where they need to be.
