Here it is, another busy week at Wapello CSD this week. Here is what is happening at Wapello this week. We seem to have it all from music concerts to athletics, our students are doing what they do best! We hope you can make it out to cheer them on! #WeAreWapello

Today our Roboloco teams competed in Davenport at the Putnam museum. Fun was had by all!! Our Team Robo Emperors won the award for Innovative project. They researched the electrical side of the solar panel project for Elementary. If you’re in the Elementary check out their plaque they received. Thank you so much to Mike Mohrfeld of Mohrfeld Electric. Our other ten Galactic Bagels won the Rising All Star award. They see a lot of potential in their efforts on their future Robot. They all received certificates. Great Job! This was the first time they’ve competed!! Way to go Roboloco teams!!

Boys wrestling is at Mt. Vernon today. Start time is 10AM.

HS Girls Wrestling is at Marion today. Start time is 9AM.

Dear, Parents/Guardians of WJHS and WHS, Wapello Community Schools are reaching out to you today to inform you of the loss of Natalie McCleary, a student at Louisa Muscatine, a neighboring school. Our thoughts and hearts are with the community as they navigate this tragedy. On Thursday, December 8, Mr. Peterson, Mr. Bohlen, and Ms. Eakins met with the students of Wapello Junior High School and Wapello High School to provide support, comfort, and information about common reactions following a death and how adults can help youths cope. Counseling services are available for any student who may need or want any type of help surrounding this loss. JH Girls Basketball is home versus WMU tonight!

Boys and Girls Wrestling will travel to Notre Dame tonight. 6PM will be the start time.

The Wapello CSD food pantry will be open Thursday, December 8th from 3:45 - 5:00. We have milk as well as a variety of other dairy items. We ask that you remain in your car until your number is called and limit your shopping time to 10 minutes in order to help things go as smooth as possible.
