“Get your work done so it won’t cause you stress all weekend.” Words of wisdom from graduating senior, Daniel Perez. Daniel is the son of Maria and Cecilio Perez. During his time at WHS, Daniel was active in football, soccer and track. Mr. Parsons is the teacher who had the biggest impact on Daniel’s high school career. “Mr. Parsons motivates me to workout with a purpose to better myself and become a better athlete.” Daniel is currently exploring his future options after graduation. Elementary parents: Grades K-2 Concert is Tuesday, May 17 @ 5pm. HS Auditorium. Please have your child meet in the HS music room at 4:40pm. Information was sent home. Please check take home folder. “You know very well who you are, don't let ‘em hold you down, reach for the stars!” Words of advice from Kekai Seumanutafa, son of Jonelle Klattenhoff. At WHS, Kekai has been a member of the track, football, and wrestling teams. He also credits Mr. Parsons as his most influential teacher because he “Always believed in me and influenced me not only in the classroom but also on the field. Taught me how to get out of my comfort zone, build confidence and reach for higher opportunities.” After high school, Kekai plans to attend Des Moines Area Community College. Good Luck, Kekai!

Thomas Warnstaff is the son of Jeff Warnstaff and Amanda Harris. Throughout high school, Thomas says that Mr. Murray was his favorite teacher because “he tells it how it is.” Thomas participated in track and field at WHS and plans to attend Southeastern Community College in the Construction Technology Program. Thomas tells the underclassmen to “not take things too seriously and don’t be afraid to take a break when you need it.” Best of Luck, Thomas!

Graduating senior, Kirstin Bueker is the daughter of Bobbi Jo Garza. Her advice to underclassmen is to “do your homework, dudes!” Throughout her high school career, Kirstin has participated in FFA, Choir (Wapetonics), drama, Art Club, GSA, stage crew, German Club, and the school/community planning committee. Kirstin also says that Ms. Bostian has been her most influential teacher because she “is understanding and has taught [her] many things.” After graduating from WHS, Kirstin plans to attend Southeastern Community College to earn her Welding Certification. Mr. Murray and Ms. Bostian are senior Noah Garr’s most influential staff members. Noah says that Mr. Murray, “always intimidated me to get my work done for his class. in some cases I feel like he has helped me become a better man.” He says Ms. Bostian, “Jane always helped me and put a smile on my face.” Noah has been a football manager for two and half years at WHS. He tells underclassmen to “Never let your guard down. Keep your head held High. And don't let someone tell you that you can't do something.” Noah Garr is the son of Anthony Garr and Bridget Pierce. After high school, Noah plans to work for MUSCO Lighting and attend Southeastern Community College to complete his welding diploma. Congratulations, Noah!
