This weekend, four Wapello CSD students participated in the state level Special Olympics Bowling Competition in Cedar Rapids, having earned the opportunity to compete by winning their age-level division at the regional level last month. Congratulations to Gage Stanford for winning 4th place, and Abby Parsons, Emeline Dunham, and Morgan Wymore for winning 1st place in their respective divisions. Congratulations on a job well done!
What's happening at Wapello this week? It is a short week, but there are still quite a few chances to come support our students this week! JH Girls Basketball (home), JH Wrestling (Mediapolis), HS Girls Wrestling (West Liberty) and the Poms State Send Off (home) all happen on Monday, and the HS Girls Basketball will face off with L-M at home on Tuesday. Come out and cheer on our students!

November's Character Strong focused on how we can show gratitude to others. Kindergarteners chose to write a note of thanks to Jamie for all she does to keep our classrooms clean. Thank yous were also delivered to nurse Ann for keeping us healthy, and Amanda and the Lunch Bunch for all of the delicious food (tops picks were chicken patty and tacos!)
