Mrs. Smith's 5th Grade started a new unit in Reading on a Shakespeare's play. We started the unit on reading sentences with words that are used in the play by shaking their partner's hand and then reading the sentence. We learned some interesting words that Shakespeare used!

A reminder, the Elementary is is hosting an Early Childhood Open House TONIGHT! From 5:30-6:30. This is a great chance for any families of children who will be 4 or older next school year who want to check out our Pre Kindergarten and kindergarten classrooms, meet and speak with teachers and administration, ask questions, even get started with registration if you want. Come in and check it out!

During this event we will have a Baked Potato Bar and Baked Goods Concession Stand. All Proceeds will go to the Wapello Youth Basketball Program. We hope everyone will enjoy a good night of Wapello Basketball.
Serving will start at 5:30 p.m. and will go until the end of the last game. Potato Bar will be a free will donation. Concession stand will be regular price. There will be no admission charge.

Wapello High School student council recently held a coloring contest and these fine students were the winners in their grades: Bryan Meza Chaing, Arizona Nelson, Addi Strickland, Paisley Shafer, Zoey Hogue, Emily Tipps, and Kate Marquez. The winning artwork can be seen at Casey’s in Wapello!
