The Wapello eSports team had their first competition of the year playing Ultimate Smash Brothers vs Lone Tree. Wapello won 2-0 with round scores of 5-3 and 5-4. Wapello was led by Isaiah Engle playing as Bowser. Wapello will face off against Griswold High School next Tuesday.

Festivities kick off on Saturday night with the Homecoming Dance! It will be for grades 9-12. $5 per student.
The dance will be semi-formal and will be held at WHS from 8-11.
For Homecoming 2022 - Student Council would like to honor an Outstanding Fan of the Wapello Community school district. This person will be honored at the Parade, and Spirit NIght.

Kindergarteners in Mrs. Wykert's class have had a busy start to their school year. They have read many great stories, had fun during play centers, enjoyed making delicious treats and searched for the Gingerbread Man when he escaped! During the month of September they will be practicing how to show respect.
